Brenden is a self-taught artist based out of the Washington DC area. With the use of black and white charcoal, a lot of his work are recreations of his mental images inspired by the emotions of everyday life. The contrast of light and shadow, and the changes in tone can evoke vulnerability, grief, or love in oneself. Each piece is a personal expression. In sharing this work, Brenden hopes to create moments of connection — where viewers recognize a feeling they’ve carried, too.
